Z-linners are cheap to add to any non waterproof outer jacket as is a warmth liner. This is cheap and old school way of doing it. Jackets with an inner z-linner absorb water thru all that fabric till the z-linner and get heavy when wet. Klim is Goretex outer later so water proof from the outside.
